Attachment Parenting Made Easy With Baby Slings

The Term “attachment parenting” was first introduced by the well known Dr Sears.  In the baby market this is becoming the new buzz word.  The attachment parenting idea has been around for years but the term now is quickly becoming a common place in the baby industry.

Baby SlingAs baby slings have become more common in the market, the idea of attachment parenting has grown.  Attachment parenting creates a bond between baby and parent that can shape them for the rest of their lives.  Baby wearing and breastfeeding are two great ways to form this bond and are becoming more and more popular.  Parents are told to hold their baby often in the first few weeks of life, which will help establish a strong bond between baby and caregiver or parent.  A baby can thrive with the close bond that is formed through attachment parenting.

In fact, many parents as they develop their gift registry for baby items have put baby slings at the top of the list.  Baby slings are a necessity when it comes to having a new baby and establishing the attachment parenting concept.    If you want to establish a strong bond with your baby from birth, think about implementing the “attachment parenting” concept.  Your baby may never know how much you care for them; they will just know that they feel secure and happy next to you.

Eco Friendly Cribs for Your Unique Baby

When my children were younger I never realized the importance of eco-friendly furniture.  As I have started my business online and started to do some research I realized the importance of finding furniture that is eco-friendly.  Furniture that uses rubber wood is eco-friendly furniture.  Rubber wood is what they use to build high-end furniture.  It also is a very strong durable dense wood that is stable, and has an attractive color that will last for many years.

Eco-Friendly Rubber TreesOriginally rubber trees were used for the production of latex.  But over many decades the industry has declined and made tapping rubber trees for sap uneconomical.  In years past rubber trees that fell were either burned or used to manufacture fuel for locomotive engines, latex curing or brick firing.  Now rubber trees at the end of their latex producing life cycle are removed and replaced with new seedlings making it a very eco friendly wood.

Unless you work in the furniture industry you probably would not know about rubber wood.  I like the fact that Rubber wood is being used to make furniture that is beautiful and eco-friendly.  I have found this company that manufactures eco friendly cribs, using rubber wood that is always replaced with new seedlings to grow new trees.  Eco friendly cribs are what you need for your unique baby, you will love the way they look in your babies nursery.  You will also know that it not only looks good but its good for the environment and built to last.

Eco-Friendly Clothing ItemsHave you heard all the fuss about bamboo clothing? Bamboo is going to become the new cotton, but it is naturally organic or eco-friendly, unlike cotton.

This is a great material for baby clothing because bamboo material is luxuriously soft and silky to the touch like silk or cashmere, but washable.  Bamboo is good for your baby; it wicks away moisture to keep skin dry, it’s breathable to keep baby comfy, naturally anti-bacterial to fight odors, naturally hypoallergenic for sensitive skin, and it gives a natural UV protection against the UV rays to protect their sensitive skin..  Bamboo is also good for the environment: it is a renewable resource, has eco-friendly harvesting and it is a 100% biodegradable fiber.

Bamboo material is made into many different types of eco-friendly baby items. Bamboo items include blankets, nursing covers, car seat covers, and clothing.  Look for eco-friendly baby items like bamboo clothing and your baby will thank you because it is so soft.

I can remember when my children were newborns not getting much sleep.  My two older children started sleeping through the night when they were about 4 months old.  The next two (twins) were sleeping through the night by 2 months old.  The reason they were sleeping through the night earlier was because of my pediatrician a wise older man. He gave me a great tip that I try to pass on to all mothers that are having this problem of getting little to no sleep.

Unique BabiesFirst, your baby needs to be on a schedule with their eating.  Do not let them just eat on demand; this causes your baby to over eat (especially in the middle of the night).  Second, if they have shown you that they can sleep for a stretch of time (in the middle of the night) then if they wake up sooner they need to sooth themselves back to sleep.   They do not need to get up every two or three hours and eat if they have shown you they can go for five or six hours.  Third, he said to start them on a sleeping schedule early, if it is bed time lay them down and let them cry themselves to sleep.  The crying will make them more tired and it teaches them to comfort themselves and go to sleep.

I started doing this with my twins after their two month check up.  The first night I laid them down to sleep it took my son 15 minutes to cry himself to sleep it took my daughter 45 minutes.  I almost went in and got her up but I did not.  The next night she only cried for 10 or 15 minutes, and each night it became a shorter period of time that they would cry.  They learned that they were put down late in the evening when it was bed time and they would sleep for five to six hour stretches.  As they got a little older the length of time that they slept extended to 7 or 8 hours and then they were sleeping a full 12 to 13 hours.  One thing that helped my children was a musical box that played music for 15 minutes.  It also had a remote control that I could turn it back on if I needed to, usually they were asleep by the time it was finished playing.  They also slept with pacifiers; and when they were newborns and little babies it was difficult to keep them in their mouth.

I have discovered the coolest new invention that was not around when my children were newborns.  It is called a Binky Buddy, I wish I invented this; it is truly a unique baby item.  This unique baby item helps your baby keep their pacifier in their mouth, or if it comes out they are easily able to find the pacifier because it is right in front of their mouth.  I would have loved to have had this so when my children where trying to cry themselves to sleep they would not have lost their binky out of their mouth and would have been able to pacify themselves and gone to sleep faster.

Babies everywhere are crying!  They want baby bamboo clothing.  Have you heard about this new material?  Bamboo is beginning to pop up everywhere.  Not only can you cover your floors with it, but now you can cover your body with it also.

Baby Bamboo ClothingThey now make clothing out of bamboo. Bamboo material is naturally organic and the softest fabric that you will ever touch.  It feels as soft as cashmere or silk but it is as easy to take care of as cotton.  Bamboo can be washed in the washer and it does not grow bacteria, meaning it will not hold odor.  It wicks away sweat and keeps you feeling dry.  It is a renewable source (it continues to grow once it is cut down) and organic because pesticides are never used.  This is one of the best new innovative materials that have come along in a while.

You will want baby bamboo clothing for your baby.  It is soft on there skin, so sensitive baby skin loves it.  It does not hold stains or odor; of course you want this for your baby because babies are all about stains and odors.  Bamboo is cool in the summer and warm in the winter, great for helping to control your babies comfort.  Babies everywhere are crying, because they want baby bamboo clothing.  Satisfy your baby with baby bamboo clothing, blankets, nursing covers, and car seat covers.  There is a wide variety of baby bamboo items, look for them for your baby and they would so “thank you” if they could talk.

Eco-Friendly Baby ItemsEco-Friendly Baby items are becoming much more popular in the today’s market place.  There are many reasons that the market for eco-friendly baby items are growing.  People are realizing that most of the clothing and toys that we are dressing our babies in and allowing our babies to play with are toxic.

Cotton material is one of the most heavily treated crops with pesticides.  Studies show that every one pound of cotton that is produced has been treated with up to 1/3 pound of pesticides.  An example would be an adult size t-shirt uses about 1 pound of cotton to manufacture and the shirt is covered in pesticides, which are easily absorbed by your skin.  Do we really want all those pesticides touching our baby’s skin?  Plus, if you have ever been around babies you know that everything they touch goes in their mouth.

Eco-Friendly baby items are all that we should be shopping for, our babies deserve nothing less then the best that we can offer them.  But they also have fragile immune systems that have a harder time then adults protecting themselves from toxins.  Take the time to shop for eco-friendly baby items for your baby.
