Baby wraps are usually called wraparounds or wraparound slings, and they wrap around both mom and baby.  These wraps are much different from the other two type of baby slings, it is usually 5 to 7 yards of material and wraps over both shoulders and around the body and then ties in front or back.

It is a very versatile wrap in that your baby can be in the front, on your hip, or on your back.  Another benefit is that there is no limit in the amount of time the baby can stay in the wraps.  There is no pressure on the baby because they are comfortably held close to your body.  There is a little bit of a longer learning curve in learning how to use the baby wrap, but it is not difficult if you follow the directions with your wrap.
